Goal setting is so important for any business. It’s something that I look at every 6 months to ensure that I am hitting my targets and staying true to my mission. It also keeps me accountable when I feel like I have heaps of balls in the air and not enough hands.
Goal setting can help with:
- Direction and clarity in your business
- Motivation to keep going
- Celebrating your successes

So, let’s dive in on why setting goals should be something you do:
1. Goals provide direction
As a business owner, sometimes we have so many ideas and projects we want to achieve but with only one set of hands, things get tricky to handle yourself [if you are ready to outsource some of these tasks, check out my Find a VA or Service Provider page.
So by using my 6 Month Goal planner, you will be able to map out your goals, as well as the steps you need to take to get there. This will help to be able to focus on what you want to achieve as well as HOW (the how being SUPER important). Because a girl can dream, but without a map on how you are going to get there, you may get lost along the way.
2. Goals are motivating!
I don’t know about you but having a goal that is measurable and achievable that I can look back and say YES, I did that! I delivered that course, I coached x number of people! It gives me an injection of motivation to keep going and push my business to even greater heights.
By having goals that you can measure your success against, you will feel motivated to continue. Even when things seem hard and out of reach, look back on your planner and see just how far you have come. Or maybe what you have to change to achieve your goals.
3. It lets you celebrate your successes
Yep, you heard me right.
You may think that, when you have reached that goal, of course you would celebrate.
But you would be surprised about how many people forgot to and just move onto the next thing in their business.
So when you hit that milestone, remember to take some time to soak it all in before moving onto your next project.
Here’s cheers to you!
